OPEN YOUR MIND is a large experimental festival in St. Petersburg, as well as in the Netherlands, Japan, Great Britain, and Germany. On OYM you can see both performances and battles. But, as stated on their YouTube channel, “The heart of Open Your Mind is the battle”. Also, master classes are held here, and not only during the festival, but all year round.
JUSTE DEBOUT is one of the largest international festivals, home to Paris. Experimented here - one of five nominations. First of all, this is hip-hop. Before the main competition, about 10 preselections are held in France and other countries. The main nominations of battles are hip-hop, locking, popping, house, and experimental is the fifth and "youngest" nomination here. I must say that in the first four styles, a couple of winners are selected, and in the experiment - one.
KEYS - an experimental dance festival from Jack's Garret in Moscow. At this festival you can show your creativity and see like-minded people both in choreography and in improvisation. An open area where dancers of different styles gather: street, modern dance - with a desire to go beyond the usual. Also classes, laboratories, public-talk are held.
The "Me Against Music" nomination of the RESPECT MY TALENT festival can also be considered experimental, and the festival is very worthy of a visit.
And our team-leader , Ksenia Polubinskaja, who trained with Robert Larionov and took master-classes from Andrei ANKOO, passed a tough selection at this festival in Moscow-2016 among hip-hop beginner-dancers and reached the 1/8 finals after only a year of training - the path offered to you tested on myself.
